What does it cost?

Cost is a big issue these days with the country in what "they" call a recession.  We think twice about making our 64 mile round trip into town now, combining errands and pleasure trips with our work schedule.

We have been programmed to ask, what does it cost?

I want to challenge you to a new way of thinking, What is it worth?  More importantly, what is your life, the lives of your family and friends worth?

Continuing to eat products that contain many chemicals and little food is a huge threat to your health and well-being.  You have to start believing what you may have already experienced.  Processed food, junk food, bad restaurant food makes you feel sick, tired and cranky.

Good food, REAL food nourishes you body, mind and spirit.

I want to challenge you to start believing the truth, YOUR HEALTH IS MORE VALUABLE THAN ANYTHING YOU GIVE YOUR TIME OR MONEY TO, with the exception of giving your heart and life to Jesus Christ.

Today I spoke with several people who kept saying, "I don't have time"......they didn't have time to attend a class on improving their life by changing their food.  They didn't have time to do a detox program because they were too busy with other things.  They didn't "have" the time.  The truth is they don't want to SPEND the time they have on things that will change their lives forever.

What are you willing to SPEND your time on?  These are things that will give you more time in the end:
1.  Learning what foods really feed your body and what foods harm it.
2.  Learning to plan, shop for and prepare REAL foods that will feed and nourish your body.
3.  Cleansing your body of YEARS of stored toxins, mostly from the processed food you have eaten in your life.

What is all this WORTH?  Ask a 90 year old man or woman who put energy into eating real, good foods, nourishing their spirits and relationships, caring for their most valuable asset, their bodies.  What is that worth to them at 90 something?  It is worth keeping them at home, driving, enjoying their families.  It is worth feeling good at such an old age.  It is worth developing new relationships and interests when most of their peers have been in the grave for 20 years.  It is worth seeing and influencing their grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The truth; good health and long life are  priceless!

Decide to SPEND YOUR TIME on things of value, not making more money, going to more events to be seen or driving your kids to more events.  Spend your time on fueling your body, learning to do it well and then your body will spend a lot more time living on this earth!

You are worth it!

  • What about you, are you spending your time on taking care of yourself?
  • Are you doing what you can to eat and live a healthy life?
  • Do you feel like that is out of your power, do you feel controlled by other people or things?
  • Share what you are doing to take your time back and spend it the way you really want to.

5 total marks.

Thank you so much for the Detox program, I got my life back in just 28 days and feel great! It's been very easy for me to maintain a good diet with healthy food months later. Your body really is what you put into it.....I'm a believer!

I agree and we do take time to prioritize my health. We grew a garden this year, our first and it's exciting. We don't bring anything into our house that has high fructose corn syrup. That alone determines a lot of food choices.

We cook with simple recipes, lots of flavor, and healthy ingredients. We mostly shop the perimeter of the grocery store and shop daily, buying just enough for the meal.

I spoke with an employee of Publix yesterday. They are raising prices every week and he said it will get very high around October. We talked about how many dollars people spend on soft drinks and junk food. We simply can't afford to buy any food that does not truly sustain our health and nutrition.

I am still searching for ways to eat healthy, delicious and affordable. I've been exercising all my life and contribute that to my general good health in addition to eating whole food. I think exercise is just as important as food choices in building strong bones, muscles and in boosting the immune system. I know I sweat big time several times a week and this forces me to drink a ton of water. Very detoxing for me.

We eat a LOT of spinach. I stuff raw spinach into our soups, sandwiches and lots of other dishes. One of the things I am aware of is having a food routine that is LONG TERM sustainable and not so rigid that I can't do it. So we do eat white pasta, and french/italian bread from time to time. We do eat red meat, but we are aware of how much and when and we also make sure we also always eats LOTS of vegetables. We do our best to buy organic, and only make sweets with real sugar or agave nectar and not any store bought sweet baked goods. But, we practice moderation so we can live long term eating well.

I love the idea that the real question regarding our health (or anything for that matter) is "What is it worth?" rather than "What does it cost?" Having gone through Celeste's detox program and learning, one day at a time, to live a totally new lifestyle which includes whole foods, I am now convinced that there is no price tag you can place on having restored health.

Over the past few months, I have learned that improved health truly is much simpler when you allow yourself to be "transformed by the renewing of your mind." It's all in how we look at it . . . the same people who ask me how I can possibly eat the same things (raw veggies and fruits) every day are the same people who eat the same sugary, processed cereal every morning or have french fries every day or every other day. When it comes down to it, my diet most likely has lots more variety to it than theirs. But we can only see that when we open our minds to it.

Thanks to Celeste, I have learned to be much more intentional about how I spend my time and I choose to spend it only on things that matter to me, my family, and friends. My husband is learning to eat healthy along with me and exercise is a vital part of each day. Many of my friends are becoming interested in what I'm doing to improve my health and I'm happy to share with them what I've learned . . . to "pay it forward" so to speak.

I encourage everyone to begin with that first step and just keep walking the path toward restored health. Every small change we make is one more step on the journey. Forget all-or-nothing. Just make one small change today. And don't forget to enjoy it!

The hardest part of learning to eat right is the beginning when it seems so time consuming and expensive. Once you get the hang of it, it gets much easier and much more cost efficient. I'm glad I stuck with it. I continue to learn so much and Celeste is always available to help when I have questions. It has been over a year now since my husband and I did the detox and we are still finding ways to improve our health. We just installed the whole house water filter system that we ordered from Celeste's website. We have had it less than a week, but so far we are happy with it. Thanks for all of the great tips Celeste.
